Penile implant is considered the treatment of choice for patients who fail medical treatment, there are two types of implants: semi-rigid and inflatable implants, 95% of patients are satisfied after surgery in both types but patients who have inflatable implants have better quality of life as they get erection that simulate natural erection.
The surgery is done as day case or one night stay surgery, under spinal or general anaesthesia.
